It’s hard to believe that way back in October 1997 that I came up with the concept of the Telnet BBS Guide. As you may know, the Telnet BBS Guide was not the first guide for BBSes on the Internet, but it has continued on that tradition for 28 years.
Prior to the inception of the Telnet BBS Guide, there was a similar site called Select BBSes on the Internet by Richard Scott Mark. For some unknown reason, the site was abandoned in early 1997. So I felt like it should continue, and it became an extension of the BBS Corner. So much so in fact that it became its own site in 2001 and has been a separate site ever since. However they are closely related and connected.
The process to convert that site to a modern web site took place in 2016, and finally the BBS Corner’s conversion took place in 2022. We look forward to continuing both sites for the foreseeable future!
